(More customer reviews)Bought two of these UPS from Best Buy 2 years ago for pretty cheap.We have been living in an area that likes to see electrical flickers and outages.Since I run my own photo/video and other media company from home, I was concerned of losing data from power outages.
Ever since we've had these UPS, we've never had to concern ourselves with when and if the power flickers or goes out again.The device keeps everything regulated perfectly.
Even at peak usage (1 x 250gb external HD, 1 x 1TB external HD, 1 x Dell XPS computer, 21" wide screen monitor) the backup gives me about 8 minutes of time before it runs out of juice.I have it set to automatically shutdown my pc when 5 minutes of battery time is remaining so that if i'm not there, it'll handle the outage as intended.
You definately know when you're running off of the battery backup as it beeps every 5 seconds or so and you can hear it's internal fans running.But when not running on battery backup, you never know it's there.
Excellent back up that provides enough battery for someone with multiple periphials connected and makes working through uncertain power flickers go on without a hitch.
